Meet Coach Moriah
I’m Coach Moriah, the runner and coach behind Storied Soles Coaching. I believe training is more than just mileage—it’s about the narrative we build and the connections we make along the way. I hold a coaching philosophy that incorporates your personal story, goals, and unique challenges into a sustainable, empowering approach that honors the soul and develops the soles goals!

With a background in Special Education and roots in coaching Indoor Cycle & group fitness classes, becoming a certified run coach became a natural next step in my own story. I found myself pacing races, giving race advice, supporting friends training plan formation, even working at a run shop in this last season! I have always wanted to encourage & support others towards their goals. To be a part of others running journey, now as a coach, is such a joy! I am a UESCA Certified Run coach & excited to use this new certification to connect with others in a new capacity.

Storied Foundations

Running started as a way to find peace and escape from stress during college, and quickly turned into a daily ritual into my adult life. Running for me was never competitive, it was my calm. I began running for myself in college, beginning on the road with half marathons, and eventually full marathons. I learned quickly that running is a means of connection to self. The long miles spent with just your mind, the hours alone, the personal goals you get to hold and go after - it stabilized me. My early running days taught me time training, was a way to connect with self and the process shaped your own story you got to share on race day.Â

I moved to Colorado to start my career in Special Education. Naturally, I fell in love with trail and ultra running. This shift to trails & longer distances, taught me running is a means of connection to others. I met other women who wanted to explore trails together for hours, going deep in conversation within the first few minutes. I began pacing races and witnessed others experience their first runners high as they chased their goals. I was carried through the night by my own crew for my first 100 miler. I learned all runners, all people, are "storied". If you use training, as a means of connection to your own story & others' stories, it changes outcomes and influences your story deeply. This is the heart of Storied Soles Coaching.Â
Our stories are all very different and training programs should not be a rigid road to a desired pace. The training is our story to share at the finish line and our grounding force when things get tough in the middle.Â
Soul First, Soles Second
Philosophy
Running is more than just physical output; it is an expression of your personal narrative. By focusing on the soul of the runner, their story, values and character, we create training plans that embrace your unique history, while focusing on aspiring goals. We evaluate the sole underneath you only after we understand the heart within you.
Storied Soles Coaching Approach

Individualized Training
Every plan is formed to respect your schedule, fitness level, and long-term goals. The plans are adaptable & developed in a way that is built collaboratively as you train. Monthly plans are delivered & can be done for as long as you would like, paying on a month by month basis.

Narrative Connection
We connect the soul of the runner to the sole of each foot. By understanding your personal story, we can more effectively train together. Knowing your story, goals, preferences, history of sport, all creates a connection to the coaching process helping your coach form training that is effective for you! An initial intake will be done, and as coaching continues there will be coaching calls made to support you both in physical and mental training!Â

Personal Development
Empowering you to run, carrying over confidence from your training, to your racing is how we see tangible growth. Our coaching wants to see you as a runner, and as a person, outside of training- both thriving, not just surviving. This means coaching calls checking in on your mental state, providing encouragement, talking nutrition strategies, and having discussions on how training is embedded into your daily living.
